Budget Make-Up Haul

Yeah, I did it. I saw a box full of make-up priced at 50p. I delved right in and chose things that took my fancy… However, maybe I should have thought about my actions first. I saw pretty colours and new (yet budget) make-up to try – just because – no other reason. Anyway, here’s what I thought…

Essence The Gel Nail Polish In Orange
Now I have to say, this was probably the only product out of the bunch I haven’t regret buying. I have used this on my toes over the summer and it’s lasted a good two weeks. The colour is lovely too! I wouldn’t say it’s like a gel nail polish that you’d pay someone to do for you, but I genuinely like the fact it looked lovely and lasted a while. A big thumbs up!

COLLECTION Colour Pout Lip Stain In Pink
I’ve decided I’m not a huge fan of lip stains. Either it’s just this product, or they’re quite patchy anyway. I couldn’t seem to get an even coverage, but to be honest, I don’t really have anything to compare this product to. It was my first time trying a lip stain product, so I’ll give this one another go.

Essence Beauty Balm Lipgloss x2
The texture was gooey and sticky, and I had to keep re-applying it. Aahh yes, now I remember why I left lipgloss back in the early twothousands (where it belongs!). I think maybe it’s a personal thing though, as I prefer matte or a general plain lip balm. The colour was lovely for both, but overall, lipgloss is a no-go for me.

Essence Colour & Care Strengthening Nail Polish In Light Pink
I loved how this looked on my nails, though I did find it chipped really easily. It’s certainly a nice temporary colour if you fancy something different for a night out. Also, you only really need one coat, so it’s quite a fast dry. It’s worth a try!
